i. Who we are
Travelcall is a trading name of Goldman Travel Corporation Pty Ltd, part of the Goldman Travel Group — an Australian travel agency with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. References to “we”, “us” and “our” in this Privacy Policy mean Goldman Travel Corporation Pty Ltd trading as Travelcall.
We are committed to protecting your personal information and to handling it in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we hold and disclose it, and how you can access it, correct it or make a complaint.
ii. What personal information we collect
- Enquiry and contact forms. When you make an enquiry through our website or with one of our advisors, we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode and the details of your travel plans (such as destinations, dates, travellers and preferences).
- Newsletter. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name and email address.
- Booking details. If you proceed with a booking, we collect the further information needed to arrange it — for example traveller names as they appear on passports, dates of birth, passport details, frequent flyer numbers, and any health, dietary or mobility requirements relevant to your travel.
- Cookies and analytics. Our website uses cookies and a Google tag (Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site — such as device and browser information, pages visited and general location. This information is aggregated and does not directly identify you. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the website may not work as intended without them.
iii. Why we collect your personal information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide our booking and advisory services.
- To arrange and manage travel bookings with travel suppliers on your behalf.
- To send you our newsletter, travel inspiration and marketing communications where you have consented to receive them — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us.
- To personalise and improve our services and our website.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
iv. How we disclose your personal information
- Travel suppliers. We disclose your information to the airlines, hotels, tour and cruise operators, car hire companies and other providers whose products you book, to the extent needed to fulfil your booking.
- Goldman Travel Group. Your information may be shared between related companies within the Goldman Travel Group.
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to help run our business, including CRM and marketing-automation platforms, cloud hosting and IT providers. They may process your information on our behalf and are required to protect it and use it only to provide services to us.
- Overseas recipients. Where your trip requires it, we disclose your information to overseas travel suppliers in the countries you are visiting or transiting. These recipients may not be subject to the Privacy Act, and by asking us to make such a booking you consent to this disclosure.
- We may also disclose your information where authorised or required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
v. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your information is held in secure systems (including cloud services), and access is limited to staff who need it to do their jobs. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
vi. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period (usually 30 days). There is no charge for making a request, though a reasonable fee may apply to cover the cost of providing access.
vii. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below and include the details of your concern. We will investigate and respond to you within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
